How to make a flannel board

I've wanted to make the kids a felt board for a little while and have finally gotten to it! When I was researching ways to make felt boards I remembered an art class I took that taught us how to build a canvas for oil painting. I actually used an old canvas I built in college and had let Sam paint on for the support then I pulled the middle on each side and used tacs to secure the flannel to the frame (make a "t" look) then I slowly went around and did two on either side of the middle. It took about 15 minutes and made a very nice sturdy felt board. I chose light blue because then we could add grass or sand or whatever kind of landscaping.

Happy Crafting.
