We headed down to the city bell tower today for the Christmas tree lighting festival.
We met up with some scout friends
and had a good time
for about... 45 minutes.
Then the cold penetrated our warm barriers and the kids started crying. It began with Lucy, cold fingers and a determination not to wear gloves. Molly fell down and hurt her knee, then slipped and hurt her butt, then she rolled into the street and hurt... everything else?
So we packed up and Joe started crying when he realised we were leaving. He wanted to stay and play with Benjamin, a friend from school. Then about a second before we got to the car Sam realised how cold he was too... and that kid can HOWL. lol
We survived and they had fun.
Our advent book tonight was "Elf on the Shelf"... can you guess what that means?
